It’s the 10th year for this once small motorcycle show hosted each year by the gang at See See Motor Coffee out of Portland, Oregon. The One Moto Show 2019 looks to be another smash, a worthy celebration for a decade in the City of Roses.

I have visited the One Show in past years (see also the 2015 One Moto Show and 2016 One Moto Show) and it grows bigger each year.

How much has it grown? Instead of hooligans jumping ramps in the streets you’re now parking far away and riding a shuttle bus to the show.

My brother Dan and nephew Alder are joining Whitney and I this year for the show.

It was a lot of fun seeing Alder react to the motorcycles. To fully get into the “motorcycle dudes” theme, I even bought him a leather jacket! Next, time to pick out a helmet.

Fits great!

There were plenty of artistic expressions throughout the show, including this row of helmets painted by artists from local high schools.

You’re really here to check out the custom-built motorcycles, right?

Alder wasted no time getting acquainted with this low-slung speedster. It’s okay, the owner wanted people to get on and try it out.

As you might imagine, bikes of all sizes and styles are represented.

If bikes and art aren’t your things, you could always find a buddy to lift you up to check out a custom ’51 Chevy.

More to see upstairs

Upstairs there was plenty more magic. The bikes had center stage, with lots of vendors set up around the perimeter.

Steve Knepper brought two bikes that just blew me away. One is this 1913 Excelsior with perfect 100-year patina.

His other bike is a beautifully restored 1919 Excelsior. Just imagine these things in their heyday screaming along the banked turns of a board track. Alder commented that it looked like a bicycle – so true!

I also really loved this 1989 BMW. It was a stunner, in my humble opinion. One of those adventure bikes you’d never take off road (or perhaps even out of your living room).

So many of these builders have perspired over the details, and it shows.

This photo presented without commentary (other than to say I’ll be sure and hang on to it until he’s old enough for a good laugh).

Alder managed to find the perfect bike to start getting his knee down.

The One Show 2019

What a ridiculously fun day. I think we might have a gearhead on our hands! It was fun watching my nephew check out all of the vendors, collect as many stickers as he could, and then get back to checking out all the cool motorcycles.

Having the right leather jacket is essential to the motorcycling experience – and I think he fits right in!

The fun doesn’t stop just yet – tonight there is flat track racing at the Salem Speedway. Come with us to “The One Pro” 2019 Race.

Great pictures at a nice event! Like the pics of Alder in his leather jacket! Thoughtful of you to get it for him. Glad you and Whitney had some time with Alder and D.J.
