Seattle Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride 2013

October 5, 2013/Jonathan Rundle/2 Comments

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is a new worldwide event raising money and awareness for prostate cancer research. Whitney and I saddled up for this great cause.

The Aussies who founded the ride proclaim on their website:

“For one day a year, thousands of distinguished gentlemen (and genteel ladyfolk) in hundreds of cities worldwide don their cravats, press their tweed and sit astride their classic-styled motorcycles to raise funds for prostate cancer research and awareness. It’s a day about spreading merriment whilst raising awareness of a pressing issue.”

Sure, it’s mostly motorcycles joining the fun but we also rode along side enthusiastic scooters and mopeds.

This was Whitney’s first real motorcycle ride and she even snapped a few photos of us on the move!

We looked our best (even though we have to deal with a little bit of “helmet hair”), met new friends and raised money for a good cause. We can’t wait to do it again next year.
