Cathedral Grove, British Columbia

Cathedral Grove is a quick and easy stop for the motorcyclist. Pop over to the side of the road, kickstand down, and hike among the big trees for 15 – 30 minutes. However, if it’s a beautiful (and busy) day – as it was when I rolled in – good luck finding a parking spot in a car. Logging trucks blow by at full speed and horns will be blown if you take too long backing out or waiting for someone else to back out. But that’s just one more great thing about being on a motorcycle – easy parking.

When you’re done here, head into Port Alberni for an awesome sandwich at Pete’s Mountain Meats.
